Transatlantic ARC 2017
Starts 19th of November 2017: Many people dream about sailing across the Atlantic Ocean, and you can make it happen and not just sail across, but race across! Such a crossing requires endurance, team work and dedication and you will ultimately be rewarded with a great sense of achievement. A blistering race in 2014 saw Monster Project beat the previous race record with a time of 9 days 17 hours 53 minutes 8 seconds and cross the line 2nd only to the hundred footer Leopard.
The ARC Race typically attracts 200 yachts creating an incredible atmosphere in Las Palmas before departure and a warm welcome awaits you in St. Lucia. A fantastic adventure that begins with it fabulous festivities in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria and ends in sunny St. Lucia in the Caribbean, this is the trip of a lifetime. Will you be part of the adventure?
This is a trip for the more experienced sailor or racer but we can build on your experience over the 2015 sailing season before you take on this transatlantic challenge. We recommend that guests consider joining us for one of the Adventure Sailing charters, before taking on this transatlantic challenge. Alternatively join us for one of the many other offshore races that we compete in every year, which are great for building experience.
